Papua New Guinea coffee beans are some of the sweetest, most beloved beans known for their slight resemblance to coffee connoisseur's favorite beans, Jamaican Blue Mountain. However, this delicious coffee may taste slightly like Jamaican Blue Mountain, but the Papua New Guinea coffee beans have its own following thanks to its uniquely sweet tang, mild-medium body, and soft fruity undertones.

Grown in the mountains of Papua New Guinea, these coffee beans get their fruit infusion from the Albizzia berries that are on the same land as these New Guinean trees. Before coffee production took place in Paupa New Guinea, the Albizzia berries were used for spiritual and medicinal reasons. Luckily today, the berries are used to harvest some of the sweetest fruit flavors around.

Not only does this coffee taste exceptional, but the plantation holds itself to exceptional standards. Beans are hand-sorted by selected farmers, who benefit from working at the plantation just as much as the coffee drinker themselves. The Papua New Guinea coffee plantation gives free health care and education to all of its workers. This shows the quality of the plantation life which rubs off into New Guinea's favorite coffee beans!

For those that like their coffee to have a sweet side (in taste and in its employees rights), Papua New Guinea is the top of the line!

Shipping Costs Issue
May 18, 2020
I like the coffee but the customer service sucks. I contacted the company after placing my order because the shipping cost seemed off and they never even bothered to reply. This alone will keep me from ordering from them again.

One of the best cups of coffee you will ever have, period.

After I had my fist cup of this coffee, I couldn't believe how cheap it is. Really, I could understand if it was twice as much. I can confirm that this coffee DOES taste very similar to Jamaican Blue Mountain.
I cant say enough good things about this coffee, if you haven't tried it yet, at least order a 1/2 pound, you will not be sorry.

Pros
  • Very affordable for what you get.
Cons
  • You can't just have 1 cup.

Papau New Guinea Coffee
January 1, 2017
I have been buying the whole beans for 3 or more years. Our coffee pot grinds and brews the coffee. I like Papau New Guinea because it nice well round flavor. It isn't bitter or acidity like Starbucks coffee. It is my cup Joe. I love the convenience of ordering the coffee on line and the great service I get from Gourmet Coffee.

Nice Surprise
February 18, 2016
I decided to try this coffee after seeing it on sale. I was very pleasantly surprised. The claim was it had a taste similar to Blue Mountain coffee, and I believe they're right. Been awhile since I had any Blue Mountain, but I don't know if I could tell the difference. I really enjoyed it. Very satisfying cup. This will be on my order list.
